A Grand New Adventure

Picture
Don't feel despondent as the weather grows colder - there are new adventures afoot!

With the 2013 Melbourne International Comedy Festival slowly disappearing in the rearview mirror, leaving only a slight hangover and sweet memories of tear-inducing-laughter, the next adventure is looming large -
I'm going to be live-streaming a re-boot of Live On Air for Brisbane's Anywhere Festival in May.

As a less-than-tech-savvy lover of audio tapes and slide film, live-streaming is going to be a grand adventure and will mean that you can join me for a word orgy without leaving your couch! More details below.

Further afield? August holds a development for a brand-new show, and also a solo exhibition, so stay tuned.

I've just had a wonderful chat with Ben Byrne about words, photography and comedy for his podcast 'Will Do Art for Food', and you can download it here. I've also uploaded a brand-new music video for my rap 'Fitty-Cent...Word' to youtube (here), so tell me what you think?

Sticks and stones may break your bones, but words will elevate you,
xx your Poet Laureate Telia Nevile

Women of Letters
May 26, doors at 2.30pm for a 3pm start
I cannot even express how incredibly excited I am to be part of the amazing event. This month I'm appearing alongside actor and Playschool goddess JUSTINE CLARKE, star of Dogs In Space and Proof SASKIA POST, doyenne of song KATE CEBERANO, and writer, illustrator and actor KATE MCCARTNEY. Did I mention how excited I am? This is a crazy line-up and a phenomenal show that always sells out, so book now!
