Zoetrope

Revolving to the rhythms of honky-tonk jazz, Zoetrope is a living, breathing amusement arcade machine.

Variously described as a living silent movie, a living cartoon, and a hellavu ride, Zoetrope is part mechanism, part flesh and blood, and non-stop entertainment from beginning to end! 

Fenced into the middle of the space, experience a movement loop of fleeting, fanciful, bizarre and banal scenes as they tumble around you, one moment tripping into the next.

Following a sold-out season as part of La Mama's 2007 Explorations Season, a revamped Zoetrope went on to a hugely enjoyable season in the 2008 Melbourne Fringe Festival Club, and then capacity crowds at the 2008 Village at Edinburgh Gardens.
